Finalist Awards and Prizes

All finalists, except for the first place winner, will be fast-tracked into *CREATE-X's Startup Launch, where they will be guaranteed an interview for consideration into the program.

The final round prizes include:

1st Place, $20,000

Decided by expert judges during the final round, the first-place winner or winning team will receive $20,000. + GT’s Office of Technology Licensing will support this year’s InVenture Prize. The office will support one US patent filing for each of the two winners, up to a maximum of $20K in total cost for each patent filing using a firm of OTL’s choice. + Automatic acceptance into the next cohort of *CREATE-X's Startup Launch program. This includes an additional $4,000 in seed funding, legal assistance, access to the CREATE-X collaborative workspace, 1:1 faculty-led coaching, and access to a network of field specific mentors and experts. 

2nd Place, $10,000

The second-place winner will receive $10,000. + GT’s Office of Technology Licensing will support this year’s InVenture Prize. People's Choice Award, $5,000

The People's Choice Award is given to the fans' favorite invention, as determined by online and text voting during the televised final round. The winner will be announced live onstage once polling has closed. The people's choice winner will receive $5,000. + Automatic interview for the next cohort of *CREATE-X's Startup Launch program.
