Nicknamed "American Idol for Nerds," the Emmy Award-winning InVenture Prize at Georgia Tech is an interdisciplinary innovation competition open to all undergraduate students and recent graduates of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Created in 2009 and organized by Georgia Tech faculty, the competition brings together student innovators from all academic backgrounds across campus in an effort to foster creativity, invention, and entrepreneurship. The culminating event is a Shark Tank-style electrifying televised competition.

Each year, after six months of developing and refining their ideas and two rounds of eliminations, six teams emerge to pitch one last time to panel of judges. The fast-paced finale decides who gets the awarded prize money, help with patent filing, and a spot in a startup accelerator through Georgia Tech’s CREATE-X program.
